About Watertight Property Management


Watertight Property Management began in 2007. A year and a half later, our portfolio contained over one million dollar's worth of real estate, both owned and owner-managed properties.


We have found that education and personal experiences are at the top of the list for the most important ingredients in a successful management company.  That is where Watertight Property Management shines. In building our team, we have brought together not only a robust and unique knowledge base, but the wisdom that comes from tenured personal and business experience.


Jason has been in the real estate industry for 12 years, first as an investor, now as an agent, investor, and property management specialist. He bought his first multifamily property with an investment group in California while still on active duty in the Marine Corps. That LLC went on to do two more multifamily deals over the next two years. After leaving active duty he returned home to Texas and began buying real estate with his father Ted. He became a license Realtor in 2008 and now represents both residential and commercial clients. His current listing inventory includes over 13 million worth of real property. He graduated with honors from University of Houston in Clear Lake and will receive his Real Estate Brokers' license this year.


Ted's first multi-family management experience was managing a 6-unit building on McKinney Street in Houston from 1972 to 1975.  Ted's on-the-job education began at age 11, working in Barnes Lumber Company, a second generation, family owned business.  His step-father was a well-respected craftsman whose company designed, built and remodeled many homes and businesses in Pasadena, Texas.  Working at the lumber yard taught Ted about construction materials and procedures, project management, and advanced planning skills.  Ted was in a managerial position with International Export Packing and Crating before he was twenty years old.  Some of his career accomplishments include an appointment as Special Projects Evaluation Team Leader for Volkswagen Products, building one of the most prestigious commercial sign companies in a three-state area, building a record-breaking family owned, home improvements company with a 70% referral rate, holding the record for highest closing sales ratio in the history of Home Depot. As superintendent, Ted was instrumental in the timely & economical completion of City West Luxury Apartments.
